Black Sneakers, Streetwear Fits

Black sneakers are the easiest and hardest color to style. Easy because they go with everything. Hard because "goes with everything" reads lazy fast.

  1. Break the black. Add one cream, olive or acid green piece.
  2. Play with the sock line. Cropped pant + no-show sock is safer than most people think.
  3. Layer over the shoe. Wide leg denim that grazes the midsole = instant proportion.
  4. Don't over-clean. A little scuff makes rep sneakers read as worn-in.
  5. One statement. Cap, chain or bag — pick one, not three.
